Warranty
When you engage E J Lack Electrical, you're protected by both our labour warranty and the manufacturer warranties on all products we install.
Labour Warranty
All electrical work completed by E J Lack Electrical is covered by a 1-year labour warranty, in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
The warranty period begins from the date of installation, practical completion of the job, or the invoice date — whichever is earlier.
This covers defects in our workmanship. The warranty is void if the installation has been modified, altered or interfered with by any party other than E J Lack Electrical.
Manufacturer Warranties
Products we supply and install carry their own manufacturer warranties, which run independently of our labour warranty. Below are a few examples of the brands we use and the warranties they offer:
- • Voltex — most items carry a 7-year warranty; select products have a 25-year lifetime warranty. If something goes wrong during that time, Voltex covers the replacement part and E J Lack Electrical's labour to fix it — so there's no cost to you at all.
- • Herschel Infrared — Select range 5 years, Inspire range 10 years
- • EV Chargers (EVSE) — 3 years on hardware and installation
Making a Claim
If something goes wrong, give us a call first — we're happy to discuss the issue and work out the best way forward.
To make a warranty claim, please provide the following details in writing:
- • Your name, contact details, and job number from your tax invoice (JN-XXXXX format)
- • A clear description of the issue so we can assess it properly
- • What you are claiming
All claims must be made within the applicable warranty period and are assessed at the sole discretion of E J Lack Electrical, without limiting your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. We may direct you to put your claim in writing.
